My name is Olivier Demé and I'm an enthusiastic photographer living in Dublin, Ireland.
I started photography in 2001 and have extensively travelled across Ireland along the years.
I specialize in landscape photography although I like to touch other subjects such as portraiture and macro.

Irelandscape

In 2002 I decided to have a front window on the Internet for promoting my photographs. It struck me that there were very few high quality photographs of Ireland on the World Wide Web. From there came the idea to setup a web site that would promote this beautiful country through high quality photographs contributed by a community of talented photographers.

By the end of the year, Irelandscape was born and has since flourished into a site offering thousands of high quality pictures covering hundreds of locations. With a community of nearly 100 photographers Irelandscape is still going strong.

Beyond Irelandscape

I am now shooting exclusively digital using the best camera I have ever owned, a Nikon D700. The D700 compensate its relatively low resolution with remarkable capabilities in low light conditions, producing noise free images with long exposures or high ISO.

Recently, I have rekindled my interest in low light photography and black & white imagery.

Publications

Along the years I have been lucky to see my pictures featured in publications, such as Nouveau Magazine and The AVA Guide to Travel Photography.

In September 2009, some of my pictures of the Trotternish Ridge on the Isle of Skye featured in the Viewpoint section of Outdoor Photography and made the front cover.
